How much u rent the boat to there?
450.000.. but we went to another island (kondingareng keke) before we went to this island (samalona). takes about an hour from makassar to kondingareng keke. samalona is about half an hour from makassar. i think u can rent a boat for around 300.000.

I went to makassar from 19-24 dec last year. it rained every day in makassar. but when we went to toraja on dec 21, it didn't rain..
anyway, there're so many other places u can visit in south sulawesi:
1. malino (about one and a half hour from makassar)
2. bantimurung (about one and a half hour from makassar)
3. pantai bira (4 hours from makassar): the sunset here is stunning - when it's not cloudy of course :D
4. toraja (8 hours from makassar)
in makassar, make sure u try the seafood, otak-otak and konro :D
Gua Leang Leang jauh dari main road to Bantimurung Waterfalls ?
seinget ku sih belok kiri di main road sebelum sampe ke bantimurung. ga terlalu jauh.
nah, dari abis belok kiri, lumayan juga tuh ke gua leang-leang nya. yg pasti sih harus naik mobil, ga bisa jalan kaki. hehee..
kemaren itu sempet nanya-nanya ama penduduk setempat, soalnya ga nyampe-nyampe.. ntar bakal ngelewatin banyak bukit-bukit batu di kanan kiri jalan..
Tak berapa faham Bahasa Indonesia leh..

here's the english version:
gua leang-leang is on the left side of the main road to bantimurung.
but u cannot walk to the location coz it's a little bit far from the main road to reach the location.
we rented a car for 6 hours, and went from makassar to gua leang-leang n bantimurung.
