Day 2

Our next destination for today is Maumere. It takes approximately 3 hours from Moni to Maumere. Halfway along the way, lies a beautiful beautiful beach called Koka Beach. A MUST-VISIT beach when u’re near maumere or moni. In Koka Beach area, there are 2 beach separated by a small hill. U should go up the small hill and enjoy the view from the top.

There were many locals enjoying the beach that afternoon. Many things to do at Koka Beach: stroll along the white sand while enjoying the view, swim, play with the waves, hike to the hill to see the view, or just sit back, relax, and eat some grilled fish. This place also has something like ‘’nusa dua’s waterblow’’. It’s hilarious to see small kids screaming in joy everytime the wave hits the rocks and the water hit their bodies.

I love Koka Beach!

maumere trip - day 2 - kelimutu

Day 2

Start at 3.30am today. We’re going to see the sunrise at Kelimutu. We started very early because the sun starts to shine at 5am. From the lodge to Kelimutu’s parking lot: approximately 40 minutes, continued by 30 minutes hike.

maumere trip - day 1

It’s been a while since my last long trip to east indonesia. This time around, we didn’t visit as many spots as we used to do on our previous trips. Maybe it’s because of the heat.. or the fact that we had to spend 2 hours for each lunch... or the fact that we’re older :D

Anyway, I enjoyed every second.. as always..

Highlight of the trip: koka beach, tanjung kajuwulu, gemu famire, and dinner at dino lopez’s house :D

Day 1

From Jakarta to Kupang. Indomie time at Pantai Ketapang 1 before we continue with our flight to Ende.

Late lunch at Blue Stone Beach or Pantai Penggajawa (45 minutes from Ende Airport).

And then straight to Moni, to Ecolodge where we’re going to spend the nite.
