2 nov 2013, first day

Tram ride to the famous The Peak. We started early, arriving at the lower tram terminus at around 8.30am. there are only about 5 people inside the tram

inside the tram

The ride only took about 10-15 minutes. We decided to go to the sky terrace first and then go to madam tussauds. Not many people were at the sky terrace, so we can have our own photo sessions freely.

the view from the sky terrace

At 10 minutes to 10am, we went to madam tussauds. There were already a line forming at the front of the gate. Apparently, everyone was thinking the same as us, buying the cheaper ‘’early bird’’ ticket.
We went in and took pictures with almost all of the figures there :D

please see http://ritaaza.blogspot.com/2015/05/doraemon.html

Then we went to the adjacent building, the peak galeria. They also have an observation deck and it’s free. Although it is lower than the sky terrace, I think the view is somewhat similar.

Timeout! Our foot is killing us, so we decided to go back to the hotel for a while. Haha..
Then in the afternoon, we took the star ferry and headed to tsim sha shui, to take a picture with the legendary mr bruce lee at the avenue of stars, and to watch the too famous ‘’symphony of lights’’.

We waited for about an hour for the symphony of lights. Unfortunately, i had my hopes up too high regarding this so called symphony. I thought it would be spectacular, I thought it would be boombastic, I thought it would be amazing!  For me, it was just.. mmm... ok la..

Macau!

First stop, macau tower. We are doing the skywalk with AJ Hackett. It was very windy at 233-meter height, but nothing could stop us. Hahaa..
And turns out it was not scary at all! So next time I would try the sky jump, something much scarier than skywalk, but less scary than a bungy jump.

For more pictures of the skywalk, please see traveling.. food for my soul: skywalk, macau tower (ritaaza.blogspot.com)

Next stop, senado square.

For more pictures of the Ruins of Saint Paul's, please see traveling.. food for my soul: Ruins of Saint Paul's - Macau (ritaaza.blogspot.com)

And then, the venetian.

Ngong Ping!

Took the crystal cabin cable car from tung chung to ngong ping. It was fun!
U definitely have to buy the cable car tickets online, because the queue were crazy. With the online ticket, u can skip the queue.

For more pictures of Ngong Ping 360, please see traveling.. food for my soul: Ngong Ping 360 - Hong Kong (ritaaza.blogspot.com)

Back in the city.
We tried the mid-level escalator and the tram.

5 nov 2013

We were supposed to fly to singapore at 10.25am by tiger airways. But they changed the schedule to 5.50am and informed us at 4 nov by an email with the subject: FLIGHT REMINDER!
We missed this flight because I didn't see the email. Of course i didn't open the freaking email! It's a FLIGHT REMINDER! Not a SCHEDULE CHANGED email! BIG DIFFERENCE! And why the hell they decided to tell us just ONE DAY BEFORE THE FLIGHT! I was soo angry but I cannot complain because they don't have a representative office at HKIA! ARRRRGGGHHH!!!

Well... thanks to tiger airways, we ended up buying another flight to jakarta, and ended up arriving at jakarta 24 hours later. Thank you!
