that night at muaro jambi

June 13, 2010
Muaro Jambi : )

A 14 km trekking trip around muaro jambi temple complex is one unique experience. But the things that make me promise to myself to come back to this place again in the future are these: spending the night at muaro jambi village, watching a newly wed (and the whole village) celebrating their day, listening young local lads playing traditional music, and finally, sleeping at a farmhouse in the middle of a durian farm. A couple cups of local coffee, the sound of laughter mixed with the sound of music, hours of endless conversations and the atmosphere of togetherness. Not much to say. It was a special night indeed
