The temples of Trowulan
The temples are made of red-clay brick. This is my 2nd time visiting temples made of red bricks, first one was Muaro Jambi. The temples in trowulan are taller and a bit bigger than in jambi but they’re scattered all over the place, with minimum sign board, so it’s a little bit hard for a first-timer to know where’s where. We visited Candi Brahu, Candi Tikus, Gapura Bajangratu and Gapura Wringin Lawang.
The temples in malang
There’re several temples around malang: candi badut, candi kidal, candi sumberawan, candi jago and candi singosari. We visited candi jago and candi singosari on day 2. The temples here are made of stone.
Overall, it was a special trip (but then again, all trips are special). My highest point on this trip is when we stayed at that guesthouse in Malang. It was so cozy and lovely. Oh, and I like the city. This is my 3rd time visiting Malang, and I definitely would come here again someday : )
