Review: Labengki Nirwana Resort

BAD EXPERIENCE


We booked 4D3N (Villa Cadas, 65 PK speedboat) package at Kimaboe Lagoon Resort via a man from PT Labengki Nirwana Resort named Mamat/Nurachmat.

On the departure day (Dec 2017), we got on our speedboat from Kendari Bay at 8.23 am. About half an hour after departure, we experienced our first engine breakdown. We stopped at Mayaria Beach about 1 hour, waiting for them to fix the engine and then we continued our journey. Around 11 am, there’s another engine breakdown. We stopped at Toronipa beach. At this point, we were all already irritated and getting impatient because the captain of the boat didn’t explain anything to us. And we repeatedly called Mr Mamat to get things in order immediately but the response were very poor. We demanded him to change our speedboat but he said there were no other boats. He said there’s a bigger boat available but we have to pay much more if we want to use the bigger boat.

It was 1.50 pm when they finally finish fixing the boat. But it was already too late to try to go to labengki. The ocean were not friendly that day. After 15 minutes, we ask the boatman to take us back to kendari because the waves were very strong. We were soaking wet when we got back to Mayaria beach. Our baggage were also soaking wet because they didn’t provide anything to cover our baggages (which is very odd and make us wonder whether they have any experience being an operator)

We decided to postpone our trip and try again the next morning. By this time, we were very disappointed with PT Labengki Nirwana Resort because of the very poor communication and lack of initiative to solve our problem. They don’t even take our complaint seriously.

The next day, they give us the same boat. They said it’s ok because they already checked the engine. But you know what, the engine breakdown AGAIN! We demanded them to change our speedboat and we refuse to pay extra for the boat. Two hours later, we finally got on our new boat. So it takes 3 engine failure for them to change the speedboat. And we lost one whole day!

We are very very disappointed with the service of the people at PT Labengki Nirwana Resort in Kendari. Only the ones in Kendari. Because after we arrived at Labengki, everything was smooth.

We have already given direct feedback to Mr Mamat. We really hope they will improve their service. For that kind of price, we expect excellent service.

And for travelers who want to visit Labengki and stay at Kimaboe Resort, I recommend searching for an independent boatman, I think it will be cheaper.
