Day 2. 20 Feb 2015

Headed to Pelabuhan Tulehu early in the morning. We’re renting a speedboat to take us to Pulau Saparua. The journey only took approximately one hour. At Saparua, we rent an ‘’angkot’’ which took us to Rumah Pattimura, Benteng Duurstede, and Rumah Makan SS for lunch.

With full stomach, we headed to Pulau Molana, an island nearby Pulau Saparua, where we will be spending the night.
Pulau Molana is very beautiful. Too bad, with the bad weather following us throughout this trip, we didn’t manage to get a clear blue sky. Otherwise, the view would be stunning.

At first we were planning to spend 2 nights at Pulau Molana. But because of the bad weather, I figure there’s not much activity left for us to do. So I ask my friends if tomorrow we can spend the night back in the city. And by city, I mean the town in Pulau Saparua.

This one didn’t go smooth :D
Bad weather..
Miscommunication with the molana cottage’s owner..
And more bad weather..

But it’s okay, all is well
As always :D

Day 1. 19 Feb 2015
Arrived at Pattimura airport at around 7am. Couldn’t sleep on the plane. Everytime we begin to sleep, there’s always something. The stewardess offering meals.. transit at makassar.. the stewardess offering another meal. And so we didn’t get much sleep. Because of this, we were all kinda sleepy on our first day in Ambon :D

trying to sleep

From the airport, we went straight to Benteng Amsterdam. By the way, this is my 3rd visit to Ambon.

Next, we visited an old Mosque named Masjid Wapaue, located nearby Benteng Amsterdam.

After lunch at RM 88, we went to visit Pantai Liang. Too bad it was very very windy that day. I still managed to enjoy the beautiful blue although it was not as beautiful as the first time I saw it in 2010.

Then, the giant eel at Waiselaka.
I already have a picture of myself touching the giant eel back in 2010. This time I just sit back and watched a man trying to lure the giant eel with eggs so that the visitors can take pictures while touching the eels.

Time to dip your feet (and body) to the hot water of Hatuasa. Again, I’ve already done this one, so I opt to relax and watch my friends screaming in agony (or in pleasure? haha) and order sarmento (sarimi with eggs).

Next stop, the famous rujak natsepa! A MUST when you’re visiting Ambon.

In the afternoon, we went to Monumen Martha Christina Tijahahu, with the view of Ambon Bay.

Another MUST visit when in Ambon is the coffee house. We visited Rumah Kopi Joas and drank our coffee with ‘’light’’ snacks.
